Christmas Advent Calender| Week 4

Hi guys! Sorry I've been quiet over the last week, I've been down to Devon to see family and there is no internet there (the down side to living in the middle of nowhere).
I know it is slightly late but here it is- week 4.. well actually only three days worth of products from each calender as they only went up to the 24th December.

YouBeauty: Fortune Scrub by RitualsRose Body Oil by Maddi AlexanderDeep Pillow Spray by This Works,

Benefit: Bad gal Lash MascaraFakeupChaCha tint
I have to say I was more than a little disappointed when I opened number '24' on my Benefit calender to find that 'Fakeup' was broken and so I was unable to use it. I will obviously be going to the nearest Benefit counter, when I have time, to replace this.

From last weeks post, I have actually surprised myself in what I have enjoyed. I have been really liking the Fleur de Figuier Frangrance by Roger and Gallet. It does not look like very much when you see the packaging and it appears as though it might be more appropriate for someone's grandma, BUT actually it smells quite delightful. I'm usually quite picky when it comes to perfume, but this is a mixture of hints of fig, mandarin blossom and cedar wood. Sweet but not too sweet. Really lovely, and I have been complimented on it already.

I am so sad that Christmas is now over and we now have to wait a whole year for it to come round again! I've really enjoyed opening up these calenders and finding out what wonders lie behind the door. Not to mention the beautiful decorations dotted around the home, streets and towns.
I hope you have had a amazing Christmas!

Did you get anything nice? What are your plans for the New Year? Thought of any resolutions?

Christmas Advent Calenders| Week 3

Hello all!

I do hope you are feeling festive especially as we are only 4 days away from Christmas! Wow, this month has flown by!
As usual, I wanted to show you what I received in my beauty calenders for those of you who want to know what you get and if they are worth the hype and money. *Little disclaimer, this is by no means me showing off, just wanted to share*

So if you have been looking at my blog for the past few weeks you will know that I have been putting up weekly what I have opened from my 'Benefit' and 'YouBeauty' calender. I'm also going to let you know a few things I have been loving- so... lets get to it!

Firstly, here is what was behind those doors...(Is it just me or is there just something satisfying about pulling back those doors on the calender-only when they don't rip of course!)

I've been really impressed with, not only the 'benetint' and 'posietint' from last weeks opening (blog post on this earlier this week), but I've been super impressed with the They're real mascara, it not only gives volume but gives a lusheous amount of length too! I'm super excited to use this with the Lash curlers from the 'YouBeauty' calender, and luckily enough was in need of a replacement for my old ones!
'Highbeam' and 'Watts up' highlighters are something I've been dying to try out for months but have never got round to buying, I am so glad I got these in minitures to test out because they are both gorgeous. I've been using the 'highbeam' on my brow bone (BEAUTIFUL) and the 'Watt's up' on the tops of my cheekbones and down my nose. I love them both for the different areas on my face and I can safely say I cannot choose between them.

By clicking on the links you can get a better understanding of the product, I had never heard of John Masters organics before but from what I have read I am super excited to use this and see if I see a difference in my hair.
From last weeks openings I've been really enjoying the Glamglow face mask, it smells spa-like and leaves my skin feeling utterly soft. At the same time whilst relaxing in the bath I've been using the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer and I think my hair is noticeably stronger with added shine. I definitely think I will be re-purchasing these products.

Reverting back to this weeks openings, I am super excited to try out the James Read sleep mask tan. I can be quite lazy when it comes to tanning, there is a lot in the process and sometimes.. I just can't be bothered. This seems like such an easy way to tan, it is a clear gel (which, to me is a lot less intimidating) and you can put it on, go to sleep and va-wa-la, wake up looking like a bronze goddess (hopefully).

Have you had your Christmas party yet? Are there any winter must-haves you are loving at the moment?

Love Claudia xx

You've got some lipstick on your teeth....| Benetint

We've all had one of those days where we think, 'I'm going to put some lipstick on today' and it looks great. You've walked through town smiling to strangers, said thank you to the man at the counter serving you your coffee, and started chatting to your friend and that's when your friend says 'you've got some lipstick on your teeth by the way.....' .......Oh Great!

Well, I don't know about you but I do like to wear a bit of colour on my lips, especially around this time of year. However, there's the worry of it smearing or smudging around your mouth or teeth and it coming off- especially when your going for a meal.

Fear not!
I may have the answer you are looking for! Lip Tints.. sounds scary- but its not, I promise! I have been enjoying using the Benefit lip and cheek tints (more so for my lips) this past week. I used to hate the idea of lip tints, but having tried them I actually really like them. They are build-able, which is great as you can have a subtle hint of colour or a real pop of colour. An additional bonus is that you can put lip balm on, for added moisture and not worry about it coming off! I will say though that it did not last all day (9am till 4pm, 7 hours of me eating, drinking etc) however it did last for the majority of the day.

Here is a before any lip product picture (sorry about the different lighting)

And here is a picture with just one layer of the stain to add a nice subtle bit of colour

Again this stain is build-able so it is so easy to get a stronger colour if you wanted.

I would definitely recommend this to those of you who want to wear colour on your lips for a meal or a Christmas party, and if you wanted you could add a lip gloss to glam it up a bit more!

It also comes in some other colours: to have a look and see how to use them click HERE

Have you tried these tints before? Did you like them?

Wake me up| Breakfast Smoothie

Hey guys, I thought I'd share with you a smoothie that I've been loving for breakfast. I was inspired by the breakfast smoothie I had from 'Pret A Manger', so this is my take on it. Its pretty quick to put together, and you can change some ingredients to make it slightly healthier*. Also if you're thinking a smoothie would not fill you up, I really think you should try it as I can safely say it fills me up from 8am until 12 in the afternoon- ready for lunch!

So I'm going to go ahead and show you..

You will need (for one large glass):
A Glass
A Blender
A Banana
One Cup of Milk*
Just under half a Cup of Oats
1 Teaspoon of Peanut Butter*
1 Tablespoon of Honey*
3-4 Ice Cubes
Half a Cup of Water

Step one: Break up the banana into chucks and put into the blender

Step two: Add the oats!

Step three: Add the tablespoon of honey

Step four: PEANUT BUTTER mmmmmm

Step five: add the water, milk and ice (you can alter this as to how thick you want your smoothie)

After a minute or so, turn it off, pour and enjoy!

This is such a tastey smoothie and so easy when on the go as you can pour it into a drinks container that you can just pop in your bag and have when you want it!

Hope you enjoy this blog and give it a go yourself! Let me know how it goes in the comments section and whether you like it!

Christmas| Week one Advent Calenders

I have been lucky enough to get myself two beauty calenders this year! *Squeals with joy*
I decided to get the 'YouBeauty' advent calender, and luckily managed to bag myself (I reckon) the last Benefit calender! I thought I would pop into the Benefit store whilst in Covent Garden in London and they had a display one left, which was a little damaged so I got 10% off too! AMAZING!

So I thought I would show those of you who are intrigued as to what you get in a beauty calender, and then you can make the decision whether you think it is worth the hype. I thought I would do a weekly update of one post a week.

Personally I am REALLY impressed with the 'YouBeauty' calender so far, everything I have received is gorgeous and I feel totally spoilt. As for the Benefit calender, I wasn't too sure about the price of the calender for some of the items I received (the paper clips for example) however, the calender has redeemed itself with the lovely beauty products I've opened for the rest of this week.

(PS sorry for the ripped doors on the calender, I was excited....)

YOUBEAUTY: (Click on the links to find out more about the product)
Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser and Muslin ClothFoundation Primer by Laura MercierOrange and Bergamot Body Wash by Molton BrownCaudalie Nourishing Body LotionSisley Radiant Glow Express MaskRelax Candle by Aromatherapy ........You may have noticed that there is an item missing. That would be the Encrusted Treasures Nail Lacquer by Essie Which I actually used last night, it is gorgeous and adds a lovely sparkly snow-like effect to nails.

BENEFIT: (The calender has mini sizes)

What will next week bring? How is Christmas going for you at the moment?

Dear Coffee Lovers..| Pact Coffee

I drink coffee pretty much every day and I love to have the flavoured ones too, when I'm in the mood. Recently I've discovered 'Pact'. They are a smaller company that provide fresh roasted coffee, and when I say fresh I mean it is roasted in small batches, ground at the last moment and then shipped within 7 days!! To me, that is pretty fresh!

I received the 'Poached pear and dark chocolate' coffee after completing a mini quiz asking about the way in which I prefer my coffee. I found this coffee very easy to drink (the whole cafetiere was nearly gone in 10 minutes-opps!) and the dark chocolate is a delightful after-taste.
I am pleasantly surprised as to a) the size of the coffee package and b) the fact that the packaging meant that it could just be posted through the letterbox- no chasing the Postman!

There are 6 different flavours to try and I'm really excited to try the 'bread and butter pudding with vanilla custard' coffee.

If you would like to try a bag you can for only £1! (Normally £6.95)
You can do this by typing 'pureaccidentalbeauty' into voucher/code on the website.
Or follow this link: Try Pact coffee for £1

Let me know what you think?
