The Beauty Box| Estee Lauder

I recently got this from my mother for Christmas, what a present!
Firstly, look at the packaging- how beautiful! I am nearly always influenced by the packaging of the product I'm using, there is just something about a amazing product that is wrapped up in a pretty casing.

This set contains a large make-up case, a lip gloss palette, nail polish, advanced night repair, Modern Muse perfume, mascara, revitalizing supreme anti-aging creme (because you can never start too soon), eye pencil, three lipsticks (16 Candy Shimmer, 61 Pink Parfait, 86 Tiger Eye), eye make- up remover and a eye shadow palette.

I love all the products from this set but I am totally and utterly in love with this eye palette. It just ticks all the boxes, it's neutral tones *tick!*, it has great pigment *tick!*, beautiful blendable colours *tick!*, it also has a handy large mirror *tick!* and well.. need I say more?!
I think this is a lovely gift set to give or get given and I'm so thankful my Mum got me this because it has been so handy and I have been able to create some wonderful make-up looks.

I know this is a tad late after Christmas but hey! Sometimes I can be a bit late to the party!

Christmas Advent Calender| Week 4

Hi guys! Sorry I've been quiet over the last week, I've been down to Devon to see family and there is no internet there (the down side to living in the middle of nowhere).
I know it is slightly late but here it is- week 4.. well actually only three days worth of products from each calender as they only went up to the 24th December.

 YouBeauty: Fortune Scrub by Rituals, Rose Body Oil by Maddi Alexander, Deep Pillow Spray by This Works,

Benefit: Bad gal Lash Mascara, Fakeup, ChaCha tint
I have to say I was more than a little disappointed when I opened number '24' on my Benefit calender to find that 'Fakeup' was broken and so I was unable to use it. I will obviously be going to the nearest Benefit counter, when I have time, to replace this.

. 

From last weeks post, I have actually surprised myself in what I have enjoyed. I have been really liking the Fleur de Figuier Frangrance by Roger and Gallet. It does not look like very much when you see the packaging and it appears as though it might be more appropriate for someone's grandma, BUT actually it smells quite delightful. I'm usually quite picky when it comes to perfume, but this is a mixture of hints of fig, mandarin blossom and cedar wood. Sweet but not too sweet. Really lovely, and I have been complimented on it already.

I am so sad that Christmas is now over and we now have to wait a whole year for it to come round again! I've really enjoyed opening up these calenders and finding out what wonders lie behind the door. Not to mention the beautiful decorations dotted around the home, streets and towns.

Christmas Advent Calenders| Week 3

Hello all!

I do hope you are feeling festive especially as we are only 4 days away from Christmas! Wow, this month has flown by!
As usual, I wanted to show you what I received in my beauty calenders for those of you who want to know what you get and if they are worth the hype and money. *Little disclaimer, this is by no means me showing off, just wanted to share*

So if you have been looking at my blog for the past few weeks you will know that I have been putting up weekly what I have opened from my 'Benefit' and 'YouBeauty' calender. I'm also going to let you know a few things I have been loving- so... lets get to it!

Firstly, here is what was behind those doors...(Is it just me or is there just something satisfying about pulling back those doors on the calender-only when they don't rip of course!)

Benefit Calender: That gal, Highbeam, Ooh la lift, Ultra plush Lipgloss in Fauxmance, Watts up highlighter, Notepad, Hair ties.

I've been really impressed with, not only the 'benetint' and 'posietint' from last weeks opening (blog post on this earlier this week), but I've been super impressed with the They're real mascara, it not only gives volume but gives a lusheous amount of length too! I'm super excited to use this with the Lash curlers from the 'YouBeauty' calender, and luckily enough was in need of a replacement for my old ones!

 'Highbeam' and 'Watts up' highlighters are something I've been dying to try out for months but have never got round to buying, I am so glad I got these in minitures to test out because they are both gorgeous. I've been using the 'highbeam' on my brow bone (BEAUTIFUL) and the 'Watt's up' on the tops of my cheekbones and down my nose. I love them both for the different areas on my face and I can safely say I cannot choose between them.

By clicking on the links you can get a better understanding of the product, I had never heard of John Masters organics before but from what I have read I am super excited to use this and see if I see a difference in my hair.

From last weeks openings I've been really enjoying the Glamglow face mask, it smells spa-like and leaves my skin feeling utterly soft. At the same time whilst relaxing in the bath I've been using the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer and I think my hair is noticeably stronger with added shine. I definitely think I will be re-purchasing these products.

Reverting back to this weeks openings, I am super excited to try out the James Read sleep mask tan. I can be quite lazy when it comes to tanning, there is a lot in the process and sometimes.. I just can't be bothered. This seems like such an easy way to tan, it is a clear gel (which, to me is a lot less intimidating) and you can put it on, go to sleep and va-wa-la, wake up looking like a bronze goddess (hopefully).

Christmas Advent Calenders| Week 2!

Well well well, another week has passed we're a week closer to Christmas!!! Ahhh!!! who else is excited?! I'm definitely feeling more and more Christmassy as the weeks go on..

Which leads me on to week 2 of my beauty advent calenders... ohh it has been an absolute treat this week- the Benefit calender I feel has improved, but the YouBeauty one has been the 'bombdiggity'! Every morning without fail I have been super excited to open the doors to see what's behind...

So.. here is what I got!!

Christmas| Week one Advent Calenders

I have been lucky enough to get myself two beauty calenders this year! *Squeals with joy*
I decided to get the 'YouBeauty' advent calender, and luckily managed to bag myself (I reckon) the last Benefit calender! I thought I would pop into the Benefit store whilst in Covent Garden in London and they had a display one left, which was a little damaged so I got 10% off too! AMAZING!

So I thought I would show those of you who are intrigued as to what you get in a beauty calender, and then you can make the decision whether you think it is worth the hype. I thought I would do a weekly update of one post a week.

Personally I am REALLY impressed with the 'YouBeauty' calender so far, everything I have received is gorgeous and I feel totally spoilt. As for the Benefit calender, I wasn't too sure about the price of the calender for some of the items I received (the paper clips for example) however, the calender has redeemed itself with the lovely beauty products I've opened for the rest of this week.

(PS sorry for the ripped doors on the calender, I was excited....)

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser and Muslin Cloth, Foundation Primer by Laura Mercier, Orange and Bergamot Body Wash by Molton Brown, Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion, Sisley Radiant Glow Express Mask, Relax Candle by Aromatherapy ........You may have noticed that there is an item missing. That would be the Encrusted Treasures Nail Lacquer by Essie Which I actually used last night, it is gorgeous and adds a lovely sparkly snow-like effect to nails.
