Juice Cleanse| Fruveju

I've always been intrigued in cleanses. Whether they're worth the hype (what with them being super expensive) or whether its just worth trying to do it from home. I know I've tried to do it a few times on my own at home, but I've either got side tracked or didn't really know what ingredients to use.

So bit the bullet and am sharing my experience with you to maybe help you in your decision of whether to cleanse or not to cleanse.

I went on to the internet on Sunday evening and found this cleanse. I chose it as it was a more well know brand that wasn't too steep in pricing- I paid £52.50 with free shipping, it was meant to be £70 but I managed to find a discount code on the home page (perhaps for new cleansers?).

Monday I had an email asking me when I would like to start my cleanse- first day available was Thursday. This worked out well for me so I agreed and they confirmed it would arrive between 8.30am and 10.30am- it arrived Thursday morning at 09.50am.

I had to finish doing some errands so I didn't manage to have the first juice until 11am. This green juice did taste quite earthy and I was surprised as to how liquidy the drinks were. I thought there may be a bit of thickness to them like a tomato juice but no. Still though, as I have frequently drunk juices before, this was fine to drink.
As I was late and still feeling a little peckish I continued with the next juice and decided to have the shot to go with it. I'm not one to be afraid of how these juices taste, I'm quite easy when it comes to drinking juices, however the shot was absolutely foul! Honestly, I had to quickly drink the juice down afterwards because I was struggling to keep it down!
Once I had gotten over the shot, the juice itself was actually quite nice. Very easy drinking and pleasant- I could taste the orange which was comforting after a very strong taste of ginger from the shot.

I popped out to the shops and arrived back hungry- juice number three. Another green one. This one tasted a bit more refreshing than the first and was again easy to drink. This was about 14.00pm.

I had noticed that by obviously drinking more during the day I was making more frequent trips to the loo but I guess this help flush out toxins too!

I was looking forward to this one- 'Spicy Lemonade' sounds enticing to me. I really enjoyed this, this reminded me of a lemonade I had before- so easy to drink and honestly I could easily have this on a daily basis.  I would say that this could have been more spicy as I didn't really notice it at all, however I do tolerate spice very well. I had this one at about 15.50pm.

I had this drink just before going to my Crossfit session at around 18.00pm. This was yummy, tasted mostly of the pineapple with hints of the carrot and beets. I was feeling actually quite fresh at this point, not really hungry just, sort of satisfied.

The Cashew milk I had straight after Crossfit when I got home, around 20.30pm. I did really like this one, it was slightly thicker, and sweeter in taste. I did notice it was a little bitty (as you may see from the side of the bottle) but overall enjoyable.

At the end of the day I was feeling quite refreshed and energised, which is great seeing as I'm normally very into my food and I did do a workout as well. I knew I hadn't eaten but I wasn't having hunger pangs or feeling like I'd particularly missed out.

I would recommend doing this on a day where you won't be tempted by food- i.e going out with friends for food etc. I personally wouldn't do this for more than one day as I felt that one day was enough and would suggest that if you haven't done a cleanse before try one day first.
Overall I would do this again, however not on a regular basis- only when I feel I need a deep cleanse after not eating well (christmas/ birthdays/ holidays etc). I do think that just generally eating healthy and well will help wellbeing anyway, which is what I mostly do.

What are your thoughts on cleanses and will you be doing one?

Anastasia Beverley Hills| Liquid Lipgloss

Hey Ya'll!

I've been browsing the internet, in the hopes finding a lipgloss that I like. I mean, I like lip glosses but it takes more than just a bit of shine to interest me in them. I'll be honest I'm more of a matte lip kind of girl. BUT I was more than intrigued in these lip glosses, I've heard many good things and I wanted to really put the gloss to the test.
I chose a dark reddish plum colour, I like a bold lip and decided that if I was going to go for it, why not go for it hard.

Behold!

How did that little blonde hair get there! Whoops..

This Lipgloss can be found on Amazon ranging in price from £25.00-£29.99 - click this link to view on their website.

I've been really impressed with this, the colour pay-off is amazing, the way it applies just glide on. The texture on the lips is a little tacky but not sticky or gloopy which is great.
I personally would like to grow a collection in these lip glosses as they are just what I am looking for. I am also totally in love with their liquid lipsticks (a blog post will be coming at some point for this too) as they are beautiful.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I'll see you soon!

Lancôme Gel Éclat Clarifying Cleanser| Review

I wanted to do a short post on something I've been loving that I rediscovered on my birthday. This Lancôme cleanser!

My skin is combination, I get dry patches usually around the outside of my face and my T-zone gets oily. I find this cleanser is so smooth and easy to work into your skin, although when you first squeeze some into your hand you may think it is thick and sticky- but it's not! The pearly white gel sells for around £23 but it can vary from where you buy this. Although it is deemed as quite expensive- you don't need a lot of it to go a long way.

The cleanser is targeted to normal to combination skin and has a fresh light floral scent to it, which is something  I would normally avoid because my skin can be so sensitive, but alas I am yet to get a bad reaction! The cleanser contains White Lotus, Rose de France and Japanese Cedar bud, all of which were all derived naturally.

Lancôme suggests using this twice a day but so far I've been using it once, just because of pure laziness I guess, and sometimes I like to alternate between the Origins face scrub in the mornings.

I would honestly recommend giving this a go if you're looking for a new cleanser, or at least see if there is a sample at your nearest shop that sells this.
Let me know your thoughts on this cleanser or if you pick up a sample, let me know how you got on!

Highlight on Fleek!| Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill

Okay, so firstly may I just say that when this arrived in the post I was so excited- that I was welling up. My eyes became damp at the excitement of opening the parcel to find this beauty of a product, created by a beauty of a woman.. Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector by Jaclyn Hill in collaboration with Sephora.

If you do not know about Jaclyn Hill please check out a few of her videos Here!

She is a bubbly, fun and genuine lady who has a passion for makeup and I adore watching her videos. She makes you laugh and you really learn a thing or two!

I never really thought highlight brought much to a makeup look until I saw Jaclyn's videos, honestly it brightens and changes the look completely!

So without further a due, here is my review (although you probably know what I'm going to say) on Champagne Pop!

To start with the packaging is so so so beautiful, the gold reflective box is so classy and having her picture and her words of wisdom on the back add a little personal touch of Jaclyn too.

Champagne pop is a beautiful gold highlight with a pink undertone. It adds dimension, lifts your face and brings a beautiful glow.. I cannot say how beautiful this highlight is... just look at it, it is so pigmented. You only need a little of this, which I love because you know this product will last as well.

This product is limited edition, I managed to get mine off Ebay from a Uk seller so that I didn't have to pay oversea charges (I know, cheapskate..but hey whatcha gunna do?)

The best thing about this highlight is that it is designed to work with every single skin tone! Amazing! I personally apply it to the places I want people to notice, so for example my cheekbones, cupids bow, under my brow bone etc, and honestly it has changed me. *Puts hands together and praises Jaclyn and Sephora for having a baby this good*

For more tips on how to wear this you can watch this video and see how Jaclyn uses it.

See ya soon!

Birthday Celebrations| 'I don't know about you, but I'm feelin' 22'

Hello!
I'm sorry it's been a little while, it has been a crazy month!

It was recently my birthday and I really enjoyed the weekend I spent with family.
I was also treated to a surprise- which was amazing!
These are some pictures I took of the weekend, not to show off or anything like that but to share something special with you and to keep documentation here on my blog for myself too.

I was super surprised to arrive a Bovey Castle last weekend, I hadn't ever been before and it is honestly so beautiful.

We took a little walk around the grounds, with beautiful flower beds and lovely views.

I was then treated to a spa and facial for the afternoon and totally was able to relax. The facial was honestly the best I've ever had, my skin was so soft afterwards and I could tell i needed it from the exfoliation and moisturisation. Honestly my skin was glowing. We then got ready and made our way over to dinner.

Sorry I'm not smiling I don't think I was ready! haha!
(Dress- Lipsy, Shoes- Kurt Gieger)

We had a beautiful meal. It was honestly so nice to have fun and quality time with Ashley, with work we never seem to get much time together and then when we do it tends to just be monging on the sofa. So it was really lovely to be able to dress up nicely and do something like this together that we wouldn't usually do.

We were invited to go to a friend's wedding reception nearby and in all honesty we were just expecting to get a taxi, but we ended up going and returning to the hotel in this beautiful car.

The next day we just chilled out and went for another walk along the grounds. It was honestly a little surreal the whole weekend. I was Just so surprised and so lucky to be able to have these things and to have such an amazing man in my life who spoils me. So really this is kinda a little thank you to him and to say how much I appreciate him in my life. (Sorry for the cringe/soppy sentence but it had to be said)!

I hope you enjoyed this little snippet of my birthday weekend! I know I always enjoy looking at other peoples photos!

The Liebster award| Nomination for New Bloggers

Hi all!
Sorry this post is a little late- Its been one of those weeks where you take one step forward and three back. But I wanted to put this up anyway, for me and you guys to enjoy.

So...The Liebster award is something you may or may not have heard of. It's an award especially for the newer bloggers who have less than 200 followers. I have been kindly nominated by the blog Chelsea Shoots People which focuses on taking more interesting and stylish portraits of people and aims to bridge the gap between client and photographer. Her style of writing is so easy to read and makes her seem so easy to get on with you can see how she would be a great photographer. Her blogpost covers how to take the perfect selfie or where the perfect locations are for photography. To check out her blog just click the link in her name above.
The Liebster award basically means that you have to answer the 11 questions set by the nominator, write down 11 facts about yourself and then nominate 11 other bloggers.

The Liebster
Award

As part of the award Chelsea has set some question for me to answer. The questions will not only be part of the award but allows you lovely folk to get to know me better too.
So here goes nothing..

1)  Do you have any pets?

No, but I would love to have two dogs and a rabbit one day. I love dogs so much and I used to have a rabbit so I would LOVE to have both. That would definitely be my ideal :) Not sure what breeds because I want them all! (If I was aloud I would probably have one of every breed but I don''t think my boyfriend would let me/ I wouldn't have enough space) //hashtag crazydoglady//

2) What holidays do you prefer?

I have only ever been on warm holidays, but I am looking to hopefully go on a skiing holiday. I do think though, that warmer holidays are more relaxing and actually cheaper sometimes. But, I'm hoping to go travelling at some point, too which will be a lush mixture of both hopefully!

3) Have you ever met a celebrity?

Well, I have met Sonia and Janine (from Eastenders UK program) once at an airport to Scotland when I was about 6 or 7 years old? But, I mean it was very brief.. and I barely remember it. Hahah.

4) If you could live anywhere, where would you live?

I have always wanted to travel, so this may change (if and when I do it) but I've always been intrigued and love the idea of Australia's lifestyle. But then again, LA or Miami sounds amazing too.

5) Have you ever stolen anything?

When I was a kid I did steal a 'my little pony' off another girl at primary school (Bad Claudia!). I think it was mainly because everyone else was playing with them and I didn't have one so felt left out? But that's no excuse really.

6) What do you do first at a theme park: Roller Coasters, Shows, Games, Food, Other?

Straight onto the Roller coasters to get the adrenaline going! That's what theme parks are all about right??

7.  What is your favorite memory from High School?

I'm guessing for the Uk it like secondary school? I would say my favourite memory.. hmm, I think I'm going to be boring and say that I don't have one specific memory but generally having sleepovers with friends or seeing friends after school. Although with one of my friends I went to PGL (Parents Get Lost) which has high ropes and loads of fun activities for a week and then a week of surfing afterwards. That was so much fun too!

8) Could you go a year without WIFI for $100,000?

Well, obviously it would be difficult to start with, but I do think that after a while you would stop missing things and other 'real' life things would become more predominant in your life? You know? So, yes I do think so :)

9) What is your favorite thing to browse on Pinterest?

I really enjoy looking at clothing styles, cute animals but my most favourite thing to look at is decor. I love seeing ideas and getting inspiration for decoration and how to style a room (because to be honest I not that great at co-ordinating)!

10. Have you ever had a secret admirer?

No I have not, I mean, my sister sent me a valentines day card once as a 'secret' admirer... does that count? haha

11. Have you ever been professionally photographed?

No I have never been professionally photographed, but I do think it may be on the cards this year; more as a family photo though not just me alone though.

11 Random facts about me:

1) I like to mix ketchup and brown sauce
2) I've recently bought a digital piano
3) This is to start relearning as I used to play the piano when I was younger
4) I also played the flute
5) I used to have a giant french lop eared rabbit
6) I used to never be able to co-ordinate outfits when I was younger, I was always sent back upstairs and my sister had to help me (this references to question number nine above too!)
7) I used to do ballet from the age of 3-18years old
8) I'm not naturally blonde but have been my whole life
9) I occasionally like to play video games on the xbox
10) The unknown scares me, whats going to happen in the future, what happens after death etc
11) I have a vivid imagination which can be a good and a bad thing

Now I'm not going to lie, I found it quite difficult to find blogs that I enjoy that were under 200 followers that weren't already nominated too, so I'm going to cheat a little here and nominate 4..shh :P

Nominees:

Your Questions:

1) If you could be an animal what would you be?
2) What is your favourite food?
3) Do you ever think about what your life would be if you had chosen differently in your life?
4) If you could make up a word what would it be and what does it mean?
5) What is your funniest memory?
6) Which Disney character would you be and why?
7) Favourite series to watch?
8) Who was the last person you hugged?
9) Do you have a 'happy' place?
10) What is your guilty pleasure?
11) What is your favourite season and why?

Hope to see your replies soon!

The Perfect Nudes| Essie Nails

I have a love/hate relationship with painting my nails.

I HATE having to actually paint them and then wait for them to dry, I have better things to do and always end up smudging them or chipping them.

I LOVE having them painted a nice colour and find that when they're painted, they're stronger and healthier.

Dilemma!

However, I recently caught sight of these Essie nail varnishes in Boots and was reminded of seeing my sisters nails a few months ago. She had the 'Spin the bottle' colour on and it looked so classy.
I decided to pick them up because I was hoping that maybe these were going to better than the other nail polishes I had.
These two came together as a gift set (to myself obvs!) and was around £12.99 I think.

Definitely worth it!

Honestly, I painted my nails in about 2minutes.
The applicator is so easy to use; you can get the product onto your nail in one to two strokes without causing stripes.
The polish drys within about 20 to 30 seconds which is great for me because I get bored, sidetracked and to be honest I get frustrated with waiting haha! These are definitely polishes I would buy again and again as they don't go out of style, they are a classic.

'Ballet slippers' is a very subtle, yet cute.. well.. ballet shoe pink colour that gives your nails a healthy pink glow.

'Spin the Bottle' is the perfect nude colour, I have honestly been looking for this colour for so long. It is, again, subtle but gives enough colour too. I really love this one and is my favourite of the two.

If you like your nude colours or need a nail polish that can keep up with you and your busy lifestyle, or like me you get bored easy, then I really recommend giving these a try.

Hope you had a beautiful weekend.

Love C. xx
